The Bin

....

Stuff.
It's all around us.
Just look around.
It's there.

I like to think myself a connoisseur on all things neat and interesting. Weird and curious is welcome too.

So if you have something you think might belong in the bin, drop me a note.

I am looking for cat pictures. Your cat. Do you have a cat? Dogs will do too. Or any animal you take care of. How about we make a PET section.
*nod me*

My feeble attempt to conquer writing.
2000 (I think)

I believe I wrote this around early 2000. That was about the time I was playing a strategy game called "Ambar" and posting in their role playing forums. I met a lot of people during that time, and it was my gateway to online gaming in general. Considering the time I've spent gaming online since then, it is debatable if my addiction to role playing is good or bad. What I DO know is that this is some pretty -bad- writing. Have a peek at a draft for one of my posts (which at the time I thought was the bomb-diggity-om):

Charlotte considered Logan's offer. She really did. But it was more out of curiosity of the man than of the motive. How could he know her? And he had such a young face! But before she could consider long, Vaskar's image entered her mind and she felt so much love that it killed the enchantment bathed on her by Logan. She thought of the others, too. She could never go against them.

"O guard," she said in her sweetest voice, "Could you help me a minute?"

The first guard entered the room, unsure of what she wanted. "I... um... need you to undo this," and she turned her back to him and pointed at the clasp of her black leather bodysuit.

The guard came over as he fumbled with it she stomped on his foot hard, twirled around and kneed his groin. He doubled up in pain, speechless, which was good because the only one who heard was the second guard who rushed in just then. She swiftly attacked him with her daggers, leaving him without a hand, and ran for the door.

Once there she darted down the stairway and got lost in the labyrinth of the fortress. Tired and a little scared she found a small empty room with a window. She ran to the window and looked out. There was a deep forest outside. She did not want to venture there alone right now, so she hid herself in the room closet for a couple of hours and escaped at dawn.
Terrible.
